  31. The 90% JPEG compression figure came directly from the Draco web site...
  32. I forget which section I read it in, but I thoroughly scanned their site
  33. and was getting very excited about the Draco until I read one of the
  34. online magazine reviews from earlier this year....it said something along
  35. the lines of "since Draco is able to maintain 90% JPEG compression, the
  36. image quality is virtually identical".

  38. Then again, it was a review, so who knows how acurrate it was...I don't
  39. think the Draco people would have put it online if it weren't accurate
  40. though.

  46. I'm sure that the video quality from Draco is quite good, but I don't

  55. Draco seems be a major contender in the NLE battle...things like FireWire
  56. support and this RAID option are very attractive, but you can be sure that
  57. DPS will be offering these options in the not-too-distant future.

  59. The PVR is just looking more and more attractive every day...I just wish
  60. it didn't need so damn much hard drive space to get anything done.  I
  61. would have bought one already if it weren't for the fact that I need twice
  62. as much storage for the PVR as I do for any of the other NLE systems!

  64. Ah for the simpler days when I could turn my LightWave work into Amiga
  65. animations, play them back at 15fps, and actually be happy with the
  66. quality.  <sigh>
